Regurgitating

The Regurgitating series weaves fragments of censored memories and information into an illegible palimpsest. Deleted photos, emails, books, and articles are printed, shredded into strips, and woven back together, simultaneously concealing and preserving charged memories. They are supported and framed with various wood offcuts that are collected from my labor as a professional woodworker, alluding to the physical labor that sustains the very structures it is excluded from. This project holds the tension between revealing and hiding, presence and loss, voice and silence.
