jinseok choi is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, and organizer currently based in Los Angeles. His practice explores how larger socio-political structures shape the intimacy of everyday life and personal relationships via sculpture, installation, workshop, writing, and community-based projects. His work has been exhibited at venues including Komplex (Seoul, South Korea), ArtCenter College of Design (Los Angeles, CA), Human Resources Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA), and Fellows of Contemporary Art (Los Angeles, CA). He has participated in residencies and programs at Bemis Center (Omaha, NE), Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity (Banff, AB, Canada), UCROSS (Clearmont, WY), Treasure Hill Artist Village (Taipei, Taiwan), and NEW INC (New York, NY). His grants include support from Fellows of Contemporary Art, the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, and CERF+. He co-founded MOTOR (Los Angeles, 2021-present), an artist-run initiative that supports voices outside the mainstream. choi holds an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts.
