jinseok choi is an interdisciplinary artist, fabricator, and event organizer who investigates our current cultural moment by researching historical and cultural contexts and weaving together seemingly unrelated issues via sculpture, installation, performance, and video. His work has been exhibited at venues including ArtCenter College of Design, Human Resources Los Angeles, and Fellows of Contemporary Art. He has participated in residencies at Bemis Center (upcoming), Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, UCROSS, and Treasure Hill Artist Village. His grants include support from Fellows of Contemporary Art, the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, and CERF+. He has also been shortlisted for the Hopper Prize, California Community Foundation’s Fellowship for Visual Artists, and Prospect Art. choi holds an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts.
